I believe most RV’rs will agree that one of the more enjoyable activities that one can experience while camping is outdoor cooking. Whether you prefer to grill, griddle, or smoke your meats, fish, or veggies, there are countless recipes to satisfy your cravings and test your outdoor cooking skills.
Market trends for grills, griddles, and smokers are all over the map. But, from my experience visiting various campgrounds and anecdotal evidence, grilling is still the most popular outdoor cooking method. Given that, griddling and smoking are mounting a challenge. They are becoming an ever more popular method of campsite cooking.
Personally, my preferred method of cooking recently has been to use the griddle. It is so versatile whether you are grilling, sautéing, or steaming. With multiple burners, you can cook meat on one side and your veggies on the other.
The ever-increasing popularity of smoking your favorite foods while camping is understandable. Once you have the smoker up to temperature and the chosen food in the smoker, you are free to enjoy the campground’s amenities or visit attractions in the surrounding area. There is no need to keep watching the clock so you can make it back to your site in time to prepare your meal; it will be waiting for you when you return.
No matter your chosen cooking method, the result will certainly please your taste buds, as well as those of your family and friends.
So fire up the grill, griddle, or smoker, prepare your favorite recipe and bon appétit!
